Oxidized Concrete
Bring your gray concrete to life!

Oxidizing acid is not a paint; it is a solution used to change the color of existing concrete (new or old), which must be applied to the set and dry concrete.
The oxidizing acid is a liquid solution made from metal ions. When it comes into contact with the calcium hydroxide in cement, it produces a chemical reaction. This reaction results in a translucent appearance on the concrete that is permanent and does not peel or fade over time. Furthermore, the reaction does not alter the basic properties of the concrete, such as its hardness, porosity, and/or texture. This is why the oxide is so durable; it is not a film of paint, but a chemical reaction that transforms the color of the concrete in its first 2 mm of surface.
Creatively oxidizing concrete to achieve a pleasing appearance can be less expensive than using carpets, tiles, or ceramics—various types of high-quality decorative materials. However, it’s important to note that the total cost will depend on the complexity of the specific application, the surface preparation requirements, and the size of the project.
Furthermore, it should be emphasized that it is a system highly resistant to both abrasion and UV rays, as well as various environmental factors; therefore, it can be used both indoors and outdoors and is ideal for:
- -Elements on facades, walls, fountains, sculptures.
- -Floors in residences, hotels, offices, restaurants, squares, wineries, etc.
- -Sink hobs, cookers, grills.
- -Any concrete surface or surface containing cementitious material.
There are simply no limits regarding the shape or position of the surface to be oxidized. We also offer a wide range of colors.
