Maintenance

Decorative concrete is very durable, and its lifespan can be significantly extended with proper maintenance.
In some cases, stamped concrete is even more durable than standard concrete (polished, brushed, etc.), especially if a color hardener was used. This is because the color hardener increases the concrete's strength and abrasion resistance.
To clean and care for decorative concrete, simply use pressurized water and mild soap. For stubborn stains, you can apply dish soap, scrub with a broom, and rinse thoroughly to remove any residue. Interior surfaces without drainage can be mopped, and exterior surfaces can be pressure washed at a maximum pressure of 1500 psi.
Suggestions for the care and maintenance of decorated concrete:
- Do not use special liquids, commercial cleaners, chlorine, or any other product containing chemicals that may affect the properties of the sealant.
- Do not use metal wheels or drag sharp objects across the surface.
- Do not allow excess water to evaporate on the floor.
- It is recommended to reseal your decorative concrete every year or year and a half; this is the best way to protect it against moisture penetration, sunlight, chemicals, dust, and abrasion. It also helps prevent fading and loss of shine. It's important to note that the frequency of resealing will depend on the amount of foot or vehicular traffic in the concrete area and the chemicals it is exposed to.
- Applying PROLINE ACRYLIC LIQUID WAX will help enhance the shine and form a protective barrier that prolongs the life of the sealant. (Recommended for interior use only)
