DURA-ETCH is a concentrated, acidic solution that produces slight erosion (porosity). DURA-ETCH uses phosphoric acid for improved etching of the concrete surface. Using phosphoric acid instead of muriatic acid gently increases porosity without damaging the chemical substrates. Before oxidizing, mix 9 parts water to 1 part DURA-ETCH.
